MS Dhoni in his post-match interview said to bowl no more no balls and wides or play under a new captain.
CSK news of last game, CSK played was against LSG which was being led by KL Rahul. From the last season itself CSK is struggling with it’s bowling order and also with searching some perfect bowlers. This season they added Tushar Deshpande, Maheesh Theekshana, Simranjeet Singh, and got back their main bowler Deepak Chahar.
While it’s been seen from the first game itself that neither Deepak Chahar having his form back as his last seen nor Ben Strokes is under conditions to performer as bowler in the game. CSK is struggling as to get the right bowlers in hand. Where as the team has been relied on just Moeen Ali and Mitchell Santner as their main bowlers and they are giving their best into the games. While Tushar Deshpande and Rajvardhan Hangargekar according to MS Dhoni from CSK into the post-match game that they are not giving their best into the games as they have bowled so many no balls and also many wide balls as well.
In the first game, CSK after attaining 178 in IPL 2023 opening game they lost the game and also if Moeen Ali and Mitchell Santner would had been in team then again CSK would have lost their match and struggled to get their win against Lucknow after attaining 217 in the game.
Dhoni said, “They'll have to bowl no no balls and less wides. We are bowling too many extra deliveries and need to cut them out otherwise they'll be playing under a new captain.”
In response Tushar Deshpande admitted that bowling no-balls is a crime in T20 cricket. He also said to improve his performance in the coming games.
Deshpande said in the presser , "I am a firm believer of the present; what's gone is gone. Bowling no ball is a crime in T20 cricket but if I keep cribbing about it, I might have given away ten extra runs and the results might have gone either way. So I was just focused on making a good comeback. I kept telling myself that you can win the game for the team.”.
CSK pace bowlers in total bowled 16 wide balls 4 against Gujarat Titans and 12 against Lucknow Super Giants also in inclusion of 5 no-balls 2 against Gujarat Titans and 3 against Lucknow Super Giants. And MS Dhoni wasn’t happy with this type of mistakes made by the bowlers. He is a leader who don’t allow to bowl mistakenly from the bowlers and gets very angry from them if they do so, as we have seen this in past, just to get the bowlers in the right path. So after the match between CSK and LSG in post-match interview with a smile said that if the bowlers don’t change themselves then they had to play under a new captain. Although, he said it freely but the players do know that it’s a clear warning for them.
But it’s not just that CSK is less in every point, well they have got some of the finest openers from two seasons of IPL as Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway, who are making sure to use the powerplays as they like to by scoring so many runs into them and making sure the team should reach to the highest score possible with their hard work.
